Sustainable energy could give over three quarters of the world’s energy

An investigation from the UN finds that renewable power could fulfill many of the world’s power needs if government guidelines promote increase in the sector.

The conclusions from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) reveals that 77% of the world’s expected future energy use can be met from renewable sources. This is based on an estimate of 407 exajoules of energy being used each year, which is three times greater than the present using both the USA and Europe.
The IPCC illustrates solar energy among the major areas of advancement in renewable energy, with energy produced from photovoltaic solar panels increasing by 50% in 2009 regardless of global financial worries.

The use of renewable energy on this level can help the fight against climate change, reduce greenhouse gases and help keep the Earth’s temperature from rising significantly.

Property owners can do their bit for the environment, and scale back their heating costs, by putting in solar panels on their home. A number of renewable heat incentives are accessible from the government to help pay for the price of installing the panels and indicates that all households can reap some benefits from the savings of renewable energy, as well as knowing that they are doing all they can to help reduce their carbon footprint.
